Here Are the Winners for the NRA’s 2020 Golden Bullseye Awards

The Golden Bullseye winners are here for 2020.

This is a big deal collaboration between the NRA and American Hunter, the official journal publication of the organization. The online magazine features a combination of firearm and ammunition reviews, archery event coverage, and other stories regarding the shooting industry. Each year, they also recognize the best in the industry for their Golden Bullseye winners.

The Criteria for the Winners

In order to be considered for a Golden Bullseye Award, it must be a new product on the market. Each product is rigorously tested by a judging panel of staff members at the magazine to determine if it is innovative, has a high value for the user, and exceeds the judges expectations.

Many products are looked at and tested, but only six are chosen as overall winners in each category. Those categories are the following:

  • Rifle of the Year
  • Shotgun of the Year
  • Ammunition Product of the Year
  • Optic of the Year
  • Gear of the Year
  • Women’s Innovation Product of the Year

So now let’s look at each of the valuable award winners in each category. Drumroll please…

Rifle of the Year: Remington Model 700 American Hunter

This is actually a model of rifle that was developed with the staff of American Hunter. So it’s probably not surprising that they picked it as one of the winners! This is a rifle meant for big game hunting. It’s lightweight, durable, and is a very accurate shot.

Shotgun of the Year: Franchi Instinct LX

A gorgeous shotgun that is made with satin grade walnut stock. This beauty is comfortable to wear with a shoulder strap, a tang mounted automatic safety, and built in barrel selector. The logo is inlaid in gold with the words “Instinct L” in the trigger guard. It’s a cool shotgun with style if there ever was one.

Ammunition of the Year: Hornady .300 PRC

A bullet for hunters and long distance shooters, the Hornady .300 PRC (precision rifle cartridge) is sleek and accurate. It’s based off a .375 Rugar, and each box comes with 20 rounds.

Optic of the Year: Leupold RBX-3000 HD Laser Rangefinding Binocular

A set of tactical binoculars that are based on laser performance. You’ll be amazed at the ranging ability which is 3,000 yards. That’s double of what most normal rangefinding binoculars are able to see.

Gear of the Year: ALPS Outdoorz Hybrid X-Pack

This is a backpack that is perfect for all day hunting. It’s a medium-sized pack that is lightweight and camo colored with a durable exterior and expandable storage capacity. Both men and women will enjoy this pack that has adjustable straps so it can be customized for the wearer.

Women’s Innovation Product of the Year: Lacrosse Windrose Boots

You wouldn’t think a pair of boots would be all that innovative, but these Lacrosse Windrose Boots are definitely winners. They are lightweight, but rugged with an athletic feel. Hunting in these all day long will leave your feet in great shape because they have a dry-core lining inside with a 100 percent waterproof exterior.

Congrats to all the Golden Bullseye Award winners this year. The winners will be celebrated at a private breakfast in April during the NRA’s annual meetings in Nashville, Tennessee.
