What to Expect from Sig Sauer’s Relentless Warrior Championship

It’s almost time for the third annual Sig Sauer Relentless Warrior Championship. If you haven’t heard of this shooting event, it’s geared towards cadets at top-notch military and non-military universities that have military training programs like ROTC. The competition will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2020.

Even though the competition hasn’t been around very long, people look forward to watching how the action unfolds each year for these eager and sharp shooting cadets.

Last year the winner was the team from the United States Military Academy at West Point. This year, they will try to defend their title against a group of 100 men and women from all different schools. Some of those include the Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academies, the Virginia Military Institute, and Texas A&M. You can bet that everyone involved is going to bring their shooting a-game to this day of fun and exciting competition.

The safety officers are all members of the Sig Sauer team, which are competitive shooters themselves. Some of those are the famous Max Michel, Daniel Horner, and Lena Miculek. Lena is a practical sports shooter who has quite a few gold medals under her belt from IPSC Rifle World Shoot. Daniel is a ten time USPSA Multigun Champion for the tactical division. And Max Michel is probably the most well-known action shooting champion of all time. He even has his own shooting academy, the Max Michel Training Academy.

All three of these top shooters will also offer some training classes and shooting demonstrations for the students in the competition. After a day of high level skills competition, each of the participants is gunning for the chance to be named the “ultimate warrior,” but it’s truly a day of competitive camaraderie.

Some of the other awards they give out are “Top Gun” and “High Lady” for the best female competitor. There is also a “Top Shot” awarded to one person from each school. With six different mission stages to go through in each level of the competition, it all boils down to one school that will walk away with the title of Ultimate Warrior Champion this coming year.

The competition will take place at the Sig Sauer Training Academy in Epping, New Hampshire. Sig Sauer as a company loves to sponsor an event that does so much for the confidence and training of America’s future military servicemen and women.

We wish everyone who is going to participate the very best of luck at this prestigious competition. It should be quite an exciting event. Last year, they showed highlight of the event on the Outdoor Channel’s show, “American Rifleman TV.” Hopefully, they will do the same with the competition for 2020.
