Robert K. Brown , a military veteran, hero, and NRA board member will allow gun lovers to bid for a large stock of his own personal collection.
Brown served as a Green Beret in Vietnam and Special Forces before ending his career as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army. He is also the founder of Soldier of Fortune Magazine in 1975, a publication that was around until April 2016. At the peak of its popularity, there were almost 200,000 subscribers to this magazine that featured stories of survival, firearms shooting, military police tactics, and a bounty of exceptional gear displayed through action based stories. It truly paved the way for many modern gun magazines around today.
A NRA Member of Distinction
Now at 87-years-old, Brown is also a long-time member of the NRA Board of Directors. Recently, he made the decision to part with some of his extensive collection of firearms through an auction on Gunbroker.com. The auction of guns and different memorabilia he’s collected over the years started on December 8th and goes through the 20th.
Many of the guns featured were especially made for Brown with his own set of signature serial numbers, “007.” This is a collection you are going to want to see and bid on if you have some extra money burning in a hole in your pocket.
An Impressive Collection
The auction features 36 items of Brown’s in a partnership with Sportsman’s Legacy, a firm that specializes in putting up historical firearm pieces and gun gear for sale. Some of those include the following in the gun category:

Anything jumping out on that list that you absolutely have to own? It’s clear he loved his .45 pistols! The vast array of guns that Brown owned is just amazing. Clearly, this is a man who loves the Second Amendment, shooting sports, hunting rifles, and everything that comes with it.
There are also non-gun items up for sale, like the “Shooter’s Bible: Guide to Extreme Iron” from his personal library, and the book also has an inscription from Brown himself. Another interesting item is a wartime photo from Bosnia that he has also signed. Prints from the magazine are also up for auction, specifically from Pappy Boyington.
If you or someone you love was a fan of the magazine growing up, having one of these auction items might be the best holiday gift to give this year. Prices start at around $50 for the book, and go up as high as $7,500 for his Knight’s Stoner SR-25 .308, which is an unfired weapon. That would be a high end gift to give, or treat yourself to for your own gun collection.
