Love Guns? Here Are the BEST YouTube Channels for You

YouTube is about more than just goofy videos and makeup tutorials. For many, the streaming service is a replacement for cable in the same way that Hulu and Netflix are. And yes — this includes gun lovers.

Did you know that there are a variety of really informative and entertaining channels that are all about guns? It’s true. A ton of great content can be found on channels that come from experts in the industry, amateur gun enthusiasts, and firearms manufacturers ready to show off their latest and greatest gear. It sure beats watching reruns of “Friends” all the time on television.

Let’s look at some of the best offerings in YouTube channels that feature a variety of cool content on firearms galore.

Demolition Ranch

Demolition Ranch has been around since 2011, and with 9 million subscribers, they have clearly found their audience. The channel is run by Matt Carriker with the tagline, “not your average gun channel.” Most of the videos test out various shooting techniques and styles, all the while hitting things that aren’t your average targets. The videos are high-octane entertainment that you’ll love to scroll through to get you fired up to go to the shooting range. He even sells Demolition Ranch t-shirts if you decide that you’re a really big fan of the show.

Hickok45

Hickok45 is a channel that features a father and son doing all kinds of shooting videos. This one has been around since 2007, making it the longest running channel on this list. They just recently published a video on the Colt 2021 Anaconda. With almost 6 million subscribers, this is a channel that is very family-friendly with host Greg Kinman, a retired sheriffs officer from Tennessee. One of the coolest videos to watch features Kinman shooting a 460 Magnum at a bunch of watermelons at close-range.

Military Arms Channel

The Military Arms Channel is the perfect one to watch if you love historical firearms. They have 1.1 million subscribers and have been around since 2008. The channel was created by a veteran who was in the Marines as Special Forces. Some of these best videos feature “handgun reliability tests” and firing the best of the best.

Jerry Miculek

If you follow the pro shooting circuit, you’re probably familiar with Jerry Miculek. He is easily considered by many in the world as the best competitive shooter of all time. With almost two million subscribers, it’s clear that many people agree. His channel is mostly fast shooting demonstrations with some target shooting that is just out-of-this-world accurate. It doesn’t get any cooler than Jerry Miculek — who at 66-years-old holds 11 world records, and over 100 national and world titles in shooting.

Mrgunsngear Channel

The Mrgunsngear Channel is made by a graduate of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Center. His reviews of all types of guns and gear are super in-depth and technical. As an Army vet, the man definitely knows his stuff. There’s a really fun video where he goes up against a burglar with an AR-15. Of course, it’s staged, but the guy is engaging and has a fun sense of humor. Although, he only gives out his first name Mike to the audience, but feel free to call him Mike Mrgunsngear.

  1. Big fan of “Hickock45”. But I would certainly add “Paul Harrell” to the BEST list. He is excellent; one of the best. And, I like “22 Plinkster” as well.

    1. I agree Paul Harrell should be on the list for sure, he is very informative and entertaining at the same time. I stumbled upon him a few years ago and have been a huge fan ever since I did. I also think sootch00 is good and Langley Outdoors Academy. The Langley channel is hosted by Brayden who must search the internet about what is going on in the media and politics about gun control/rights and interprets it and in a 6-8 min segment explains what he thinks is really going on (he seems to be spot on almotall of the time)…. He always seems to have a positive spin and it just fun watching him dissect this stuff…. He always links his sources. Any those plus the others listed are a good source of info on a lot of different gun related topics..

  2. Yup. Paul Harrell is number one on my list. Information not a sales pitch!

  3. If you are into black powder check out Duelist 54. I thought that you tube banned any videos relating to guns? Did they rescind their ban?

  4. Hickok454 is the only one on the list that is correct. The rest are SHILLS!!!
