There’s double-barrel shotguns. There’s pump-action shotguns. There’s automatic, tactical shotguns. But, we’re willing to bet that most of you have never seen a triple-barrel shotgun before.
Well, we found one, and we want to buy five or six of them.
The Chiappa Triple Threat is exactly what it sounds like — a survival shotgun with three barrels instead of the usual one or two. The advantage here is obvious — you can fire three slugs instead of two, making it a more ideal weapon for survival situations.
Of course, many gun collectors find the idea of a three-barrel shotgun novel, but may write it off as a simple gimmick to put Chiappa on the radar. We’re not going to tell you that’s wrong, but we’re not going to pretend it doesn’t work either.
“To meet consumer demand, the famous Triple Barrel shotgun has been configured as an awesome home defense or survival shotgun,” the product’s description reads. “Called Triple Threat, it has compact 18.5in barrels and a removable butt stock for easy storage or use as a pistol grip. This makes the Triple Threat portable, easy to maneuver in tight spaces and as potent as any shotgun around.”
Obviously, the weapon sounds as cool as it looks — but we’re not going to leave you hanging with just that. Check out the video below for a demonstration!
