In a special collaboration, the team from YouTube’s Demolition Ranch and How Ridiculous joined forces to find out what happens when you fire a round from a Sherman tank at household appliances.
If you’re a regular reader, you’ve seen these videos before — so you know what’s going to happen. First, the team is going to warm up by firing a round at one item at a time. Then, just to make things interesting (both for us and themselves), they’re going to see if a shell can make it through 10 of them.
Are these videos insanely predictable? Definitely. Does that make them any less fun to watch? Absolutely not.
The Sherman Tank became an iconic symbol of American military might after armored vehicle was introduced to the battle field during World War II. To date, almost 50,000 of them have been made. The vehicle is known for being relatively cheap to produce, which explains why there are so many of them. As it turns out, they were also incredibly effective on the field.
While it’s true that these tanks have been outclassed over the decades, seeing them in action is still a treat.
