The 2020 Shot Show took place January 21-24 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. And as always, the displays left many gun owners and reviewers speechless.
It’s a show that is only open to commercial buyers and sellers in the outdoors industry, along with those in the hunting and firearms world. Basically, it’s a huge trade show, and it’s been going on since 1979.
There are a ton of new products and gear that make their debut at the show, along with exhibits, speakers, and demonstrations to attend. Let’s look at some of the best new products that were introduced over the four-day event.
New Guns: The Glock 44 and Sig Sauer Cross Rifle
Two of the biggest gun companies in the world showed off their new guns. Glock came out strong with their new Glock 44. This is a .22 LR handgun that is compact and fun to shoot. Lightweight with low recoil, if you are new to handling a pistol this might be the model you want to get some experience with.
Sig Sauer also showcased their new Cross Rifle. This bad boy is part of Sig’s new hunting line, and people are very excited about it. The Cross Rifle has a foldable stock that is adjustable, so it’s easier to transport. Very lightweight for a rifle, this is the model you want to take up in the mountains on those difficult hunts where you’re covering a ton of ground to bag that elusive game, like the mountain goat or Coues deer.
Concealed Carry Leggings by Dene Adams
More and more women are exercising their concealed carry option. Concealed carry leggings by Dene Adams are a great way to do this with “athleisure” — active wear that you can sport all day long. The style that premiered is their Phantom Leggings 2, with five options for holstering, a moisture wicking fabric, and very comfortable feel, these are the leggings you are going to want to wear all the time.
Browning’s Safe Builder App
Technology is a big deal when it comes to new products. One of those innovations is an app from Browning that will allow you to position a safe in your house to see how it will look. You can try out a variety of safes to see which one will be best, and then you can get a price quote and locations of where to purchase the safe.
Cool Hunting Glasses From Leupold
Leupold has actually come out with some hunting sunglasses that won’t make you look like a total dork. There are five new models of shades that will keep you focused on the task at hand, and not being distracted by the glare of the sun. They offer a high ballistic rating for eye protection, the lenses are interchangeable for prescription wear, and prices are under $200.
With an attendance of over 60,000 people at the Shot Show, they enjoyed an experience that surely got everyone excited for next year’s Shot Show in 2021. Luckily, some of them showed up with video cameras.
