Social Distancing? Try These Gun Podcasts!

The coronavirus is stopping many of our daily activities. Now that practicing social distancing is the way of the world right now, you may be at a loss for fun things to do at home. There are only so many times you can play video games, watch movies, or interact with your social media accounts before you are itching to do something different. So, how about podcasts?

If you have never listened to a podcast before, now is the time to get into this pastime. There are many gun-related podcasts available that update on a weekly basis, so you’ll always have something new and fun to listen to surrounding your passion for all things firearm related.

Here are some of our favorites to check out right now.

Self Defense Gun Stories Podcast

This podcast is run by Rob Morse, who describes the show as “weekly reports and commentary on civilian self defense.” He has a lot of interviews with experts in the industry, and personal stories of people who had to utilize heroic self defense measures. Rob is a writer and NRA pistol instructor who routinely participates in local IDPA matches. You can listen to new episodes weekly, but also go back over an extensive archive of old episodes on his website to hear more.

Guns Guide to Liberals Podcast

A brand new podcast that just finished up their first season on March 23, 2020 is the Guns Guide to Liberals Podcast. This is an exploration of what they call “partisanship-free ideas.” It’s run by Sarah and Jon who discuss such topics like red flag laws, Facebook conspiracies, and round table discussions with various big names in the gun industry. One of the shows they did recently was a discussion with BJ Campbell from Open Source Defenses, and the VP of the National African American Gun Association, Douglas Jefferson.

Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co Podcast

Cam Edwards is at the helm of this podcast, which is all about Second Amendment commentary, and interviews with gun rights activists. Cam himself is the editor-in-chief of Bearing Arms Magazine. This online publication is a treasure trove of information regarding your civil liberties and gun news in general. The podcast airs almost everyday, lasting around 30 minutes, with this last show being about the confusion over gun shops being closed or not during this coronavirus pandemic. It’s definitely worth your time to check this podcast out.

Handgun World Podcast

Handgun World Podcast is all about Bob Mayne, who is a competitive handgun shooter. He is also a certified LTC instructor who lives in Texas. His commitment to the Second Amendment and all things handgun shines through in each of the episodes he does. The most recent one is almost three hours long, so it gives plenty of good information with interviews and commentary from some of the best leaders in the gun rights industry. It’s also his 500th episode, so if you are in the mood to hear some of his past podcasts, there is plenty of material to go through.

Those are just four of the best and most popular podcast shows that will hopefully take your mind off of your social distancing boredom.
