President Biden’s Latest Gaffe Puts United States at Risk of Direct Conflict with China

The United States has already mismanaged the Ukraine conflict.

While mainstream news outlets claim that it is Russia that is suffering, the Ruble is surging and Russia is set to earn 33% more money than it did last year. At the same time, the United States is experiencing surging inflation and raging supply chain shortages.

What’s more, both the United States and EU are running out of weapons to send to Ukraine. At a time like this, common sense dictates that it would be best to avoid starting a World War with one of the world’s most powerful nations.

Sadly, the Biden Administration seems to lack this all-important ability. In recent comments to the press, President Biden told stunned journalists that he would send American soldiers to Taiwan if China were to invade the self-governing island.

The President’s minions were quick to tell the world that the President “misspoke” and that United States policy hasn’t changed. The news media has moved along as if nothing has happened, but China most likely hasn’t. The former head of China’s Global Times news outlet bluntly asked the Biden Administration if it wished to “bring soldiers back in coffins or let them sink into the Taiwan Straits to feed the fish.”

There are indications that China is preparing for conflict in the region; the state recently called for a meeting with dozens of state banks to assess the possible impact of severe sanctions and China has been conducting far more drills and intrusive flights into Taiwan’s airspace.

The warning signs are there, just as they were before the conflict in Ukraine, but President Biden and his acolytes are taking the exact same path that led to the Ukraine war. The Biden Administration is allowing a growing number of government officials to visit Taiwan in spite of China’s vocal protests; what’s more, it is offering a growing amount of military assistance to the self-governing island.

As Bonnie Glaser, a former Pentagon and State Department consultant, recently pointed out, “Every time the President speaks, it sounds confusing. And it doesn’t deter China from using force against Taiwan. We could actually provoke a Chinese strike against Taiwan rather than deterring the attack.”

Some have suggested that President Biden’s recent gaffe, along with his past history of erratic behavior, make him incompetent to serve as President and that Congress should invoke the twenty-fifth Amendment and remove him from office.

These individuals have a point; however, the problem is that current Vice-President Kamala Harris would then become President, and, as unbelievable as it sounds, she is even more ignorant than the current occupant of the Oval Office.

When asked to comment on the Ukraine conflict at the onset of the hostilities, she gave an explanation that appeared to have been geared at a group of preschoolers, leading one senior journalist to note that she is completely unable to talk normally to people. However, her communication skills aren’t the only skills that are lacking.

When speaking with the news media at the Munich Security Conference earlier this year, she told the world that Europe had enjoyed peace and security since the end of World War 2, seemingly forgetting about the USSR’s invasion of Hungary and Czechoslovakia, The Balkan civil wars, and Russia’s fights with Chechnya and Georgia. President Biden may be leading the United States on the path to conflict with China but a President Harris would almost certainly expedite the trip.

It is clear that some members of the Biden Administration are all too eager for conflict with not only Russia but also China. President Biden, on one hand, seems to be holding them back by refusing to send the United States military into Ukraine.

On the other hand, he has steadily escalated the conflict by sharing advanced weaponry and intelligence with Ukraine. At the same time, his administration has also steadily escalated the China-Taiwan crisis without concern for the fact that starting a hot war with China would almost certainly lead to a World War that could easily lead to the use of nuclear weapons

Only time will tell how the current crises will play out, but it’s clear that the odds of a global conflict are growing by the day.
