The blundering Biden administration is pushing America and the rest of the world towards another World War after they sent new weapons to Ukraine.
The Biden administration has provided the Ukrainian forces with a military drone known as “Switchblade,” according to reports.
NBC News reported on this development:
As part of a massive military aid package announced Wednesday, the Biden administration is providing Ukraine with U.S.-made killer drones — cutting-edge guided missiles that could accurately target Russian troops from miles away — two congressional officials briefed on the matter told NBC News.
The White House referred to the weapons in a fact sheet on the aid package as “100 Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems.” NBC News reported exclusively Tuesday that this move was under consideration.
The Switchblades are essentially robotic smart bombs, equipped with cameras, guidance systems and explosives. They can be programmed to automatically strike targets miles away, and they can be steered around objectives until the time is right to strike. The company says the 600 can fly for 40 minutes and up to 50 miles.
They are single-use weapons, which is why they have been dubbed “kamikaze drones.” But they are orders of magnitude cheaper than the Hellfire missiles fired by U.S. Reaper drones. The 300 can cost as little as $6,000, by some estimates.
Both weapons can be set up in minutes and launched from tubes. They fly much faster than the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones that Ukraine has been using to inflict damage on Russia, and presumably they would be able to penetrate the spotty air defenses Russia is maintaining over its forces.
NBC had reported in December about receiving a demo of the 300 model, but were unable to see the capabilities of the 600 model due to AeroVironment being barred by the U.S government.
The news outlet noted in their December report that, “Some experts believe the spread of the semi-autonomous weapons will change ground warfare as profoundly as the machine gun did,”
“They can leapfrog traditional defenses to strike infantry troops anywhere on the battlefield, and they cost just $6,000 apiece, compared to $150,000 for the Hellfire missile typically fired by Predator or Reaper drones,” the report continued. “That capability could help save the lives of U.S. troops, but it could also put them — and Americans at home — in great danger from terrorists or nation-states that haven’t previously had access to such lethal and affordable technology.”
Shaan Shaikh from the Center for Strategic and International Studies observed, “I think this is going to be the new IED,” (improvised explosive device), “it’s something that we can see that is going to be a problem, and we have some defenses, but not enough.” Said Shaikh, a missile expert.
The Kamikazes are run on battery power and can precisely hit a target because they have the ability to hover above a target until it is set to strike. They are also very small, the 300 model only being 20 inches in length and this makes them nearly impossible to detect and defend against.
U.S Homeland Security officials are expressing concerns that potential terrorist attacks could be carried out with these weapons. Given the precision of these weapons, they could be used to eliminate elected officials and destroy infrastructure.
The U.S is ripe for such a terrorist attack if America’s enemies manage to get their hands on this technology. The southern border is a hotbed for human smuggling and the chances of a potential terrorist slipping over the line into America, has never been higher.
The involvement of U.S and NATO forces in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, is only going to exacerbate already strained relations and puts both the U.S and NATO Allies in a position where Putin could retaliate.
