President Biden has been a gaffe machine for decades.
In fact, for years Washington D.C. insiders called then-Senator Joe Biden the “dumbest man in Washington”.
However, his recent comments not only risk escalating conflict in Ukraine but turning what is now a regional war into an international one that could put the lives of people the world over in mortal danger.
As former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis rightly noted, “A U.S. President who, during an atrocious war, does not mean what he says on matters of War and Peace, and must be corrected by his hyperventilating staff, is a clear and present danger to all.”
When visiting the U.S. troops in Poland, President Joe Biden clearly stated that they would be heading into Ukraine.
“You’re going to see when you’re there, … you’re gonna see — you’re gonna see women, young people standing in the middle in front of a damned tank just saying, ‘I’m not leaving, I’m holding my ground,’” the president said.
Aides, naturally, were quick to walk back the comment, noting that the President’s stance on sending the United States military into Ukraine hasn’t changed.
However, President Biden’s second comment has been far more difficult to explain.
As he once again railed against Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Biden stated that “Putin cannot remain in power”, a statement has, in the past, been a clear call for regime change in targeted areas.
The President’s aides, once again, were quick to try to explain what their boss “really meant” stating that the President intended to say that Putin can’t remain in power in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, but the explanation is an odd one considering the fact that Russia controls only part of Ukraine and none of Eastern Europe.
What’s more, while the mainstream media will unquestioningly accept whatever the Biden Administration comes up with, Russia has seen the United States’ track record of overthrowing governments and putting in new ones; President Biden’s comments will almost certainly make the conflict worse if President Putin gets the impression that he has nothing to lose as America will not accept even a cessation of conflict in Ukraine unless it is accompanied by Putin’s removal from power or death.
President Biden and his warmongering cabinet members seem intent on doing everything in their power to provoke Russia into escalating the Ukraine conflict.
The president has not directed his Secretary of State to talk with Russia’s foreign ministry since before the conflict began, an unprecedented situation given the fact that high-level talks took place between the two powers even during the Cold War era.
President Biden could not be bothered to appoint an ambassador to Ukraine even before the conflict, and, unlike past American presidents, has not made a move to bring about a peace agreement in order to put an end to the war.
To make matters worse, he has publicly embraced the current U.S. nuclear policy which clearly states that the United States is allowed to use nuclear weapons in a “first strike” scenario.
His pledge not only runs contrary to public promises he made during his 2020 campaign to change the current policy but escalates tensions at a time when the world’s only hope of avoiding World War 3 is for sane heads at the highest level to deescalate tensions.
Unfortunately, rather than a statesman who actually understand what is going on and the devastation that could be wrought by a nuclear war, the United States is being led dangerously close to conflict by a bumbling, borderline-senile President and a crew of nutjobs eager to “stick it to Russia” even if it means the destruction of the world as humanity knows it.
