Highland Park Shooter Wore Women’s Clothing While Carrying Out His Crimes

In a bizarre twist, police have said that the accused Highland Park shooter, Robert Crimo, committed his attacks while wearing women’s clothing and makeup.

According to Deputy Police Chief Christopher Covelli, investigators believe that Crimo “preplanned this attack for several weeks” and carried out his alleged crimes while Crimo “was dressed in women’s clothing.”

“During the attack, he was dressed in women’s clothing,” Covelli said, “and investigators do believe he did this to conceal his facial tattoos and his identity to help him during the escape with the other people who were fleeing the chaos.”

Crimo has been accused of open firing into a crowd from the roof of a local business during a July 4th celebration, the 21-year-old allegedly gunning down seven people in the attack.

Crimo seems to be following a theme that prior mass shooters have also done – they are mentally disturbed, isolated from society and come from a dysfunctional home.

On Monday, the local news station WGNTV reported that Crimo was “known to law enforcement” before the attack happened and was obsessed with becoming a rapper, making music videos featuring himself at his old high school – apparently glorifying school shootings.

WGNTV reported:

Crimo was a prolific poster online where he apparently went by the name “Awake the Rapper.” His videos foretell his alleged violent acts. In one, he appears to dramatize a school shooting. In another video, Crimo appears to animate his own demise in a confrontation with police.

[…] Police said the 22-year-old suspect was “known to law enforcement.” One question that will be asked in the days to come: Were they aware of the violent videos that have been online for many months?

The attack happened in Illinois, which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, including red flag laws, licensing requirements and waiting periods before you can purchase a firearm.

Joe Biden and the Democrats recently signed new gun control measures into law, but obviously they failed to prevent the attack.

The Democrat-run state is also home to one of the most prolifically violent cities – Chicago.

Any given day there is a violent crime committed and innocent people are shot and killed, despite gun laws being extra restrictive in the Windy City.

Prosecutors have said that Crimo, who confessed to his crime in a voluntary statement, was making his first court appearance on Wednesday and has been charged with seven counts of first-degree murder according to Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart. A preliminary hearing will be held on July 28.

Of course, Vice President Kamala Harris visited the site of the shooting to further push the Democrat agenda of banning “assault weapons.”

“We’ve got to be smarter as a country in terms of who has access to what, in particular assault weapons,” she said.

  1. All the gun laws failed to stop this . Criminals don’t care about laws ! Lawbiding citizens are the only ones who folliw these infringing laws , while criminals continue to ignore all of them. See a pattern here ? FJB
